Energy-Efficient, Cost-Effective Solutions for SMBs and Hosted IT Services

May 13, 2025 – Giga Computing, an industry innovator and leader in enterprise hardware and advanced cooling solutions, today announced software support for GIGABYTE platforms using AMD EPYC™ 4005 Series processors. These entry-level systems hit a cost point needed for small business customers and hosted IT service providers.

Already in the marketplace, nine GIGABYTE servers and motherboards support both AMD EPYC 4005 and 4004 Series processors from the AMD AM5 platform. At Computex 2024, AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su announced support for socket AM5 through 2027, and GIGABYTE will provide the go-to-launch updates coinciding with AMD announcements for the AM5 platform. Customers looking for the update only need to visit the respective GIGABYTE product page and go to the support tab where a BIOS update is available to download.

“While there is certainly a lot of talk about AI systems, there are a lot of other markets that simply need a stable and affordable platform for business-critical workloads,” said Vincent Wang, Sales VP at Giga Computing. “And we are able to bake enterprise-grade features into our GIGABYTE products tailored to the needs of SMBs and service providers.”

“The AMD EPYC 4005 Series captures performance, price and practicality that small businesses require as they seek to acquire a system that meets their unique demands,” said Derek Dicker, corporate vice president, Enterprise and HPC Business, AMD. “Growing businesses will now have a compelling, right-sized solution, packaged in an affordable, easy-to-use platform that fits their current needs but can scale as their business grows.”
